The main character of the film is Lester Burnman. He's having a clear midlife crisis. Literally everything that surrounds him begins to annoy a man. The job he's been doing for decades suddenly becomes a burden. He goes to it every day, as if to hard labor. He is frankly infuriated by his colleagues. And the boss generally causes nausea. His own spouse begins to annoy him. But at the same time, he doesn't care at all that his wife is cheating on him with her colleague. And the daughter doesn't want to have anything to do with her parents at all. She spends all day with her boyfriend, who recently got out of a psychiatric clinic.<br />

And in this seemingly nightmare, Lester finds something bright that becomes the meaning of his life. This is his daughter's young friend, who often visits their house. A man falls in love with her like a boy, and wants only one thing – to win her heart. And so he decides to radically change his life. He quits his hated job. Breaks off relations with all former friends. He tells his wife that everything is over between them. And finally, he decides how to relax, which is why he buys marijuana. And at some point Lester becomes absolutely happy. But this happiness is built on the ruins of a past life. And this can lead to a real tragedy.<br />
